Wine, lavender and eucalyptus. What a wonderful mixture to take your mum on Mothers Day.
Situated on the New England Highway, about half way between Bendemeer and Uralla, Banalasta Plantation is a proud showcase of what hard work, wonderful products and great vision can do.
At Banalasta there are wine tasting, an excellent gift shop, plus you can go on a tour of the distillery and there is a picturesque picnic areas and even walking trials.
“There are the views, wildlife with wallabies, wallaroos, wedge-tailed eagles flying overhead, the vineyard, lavender and of curse the eucalyptus,” Banalasta’s manager John Wynan said.
Visitors can also vitis the shop and samples Banalasta’s products, have a coffee, bring a picnic lunch or have a barbecue on the property.
In the shop there are some wonderful skin care gift packs that your mum will just love and at very reasonable prices.
The property, owned by the Blickling family, combines wine, lavender and eucalyptus, as well as a popular visitor’s centre, gift shop and coffee shop on 6000ha of land.
Banalasta is the home of the world’s largest eucalyptus radiata Australiana oil plantation with more than one million trees and more trees are being planted.
