Bendemeer Gardens Open this Weekend

Saturday, February 10th, 2007

Bendemeer’s gardens will have their best foot forward this weekend when they throw open their gates for two days of open gardens.

Despite other parts of the region suffering from drought, a milder summer and fortuitous storm rain has enabled the entrants to make a reasonable showing, Bendemeer local Ruth Mathews said.

The open gardens are the final act of Bendemeer Landcare and Garden Club’s annual competition that was won by Carol and Col Murray. The runners-up were Ken Gwen Brett.

The club will have a special gust on hand this weekend, in Judith Horton of Yates Seeds who will be available to answer any gardening questions.
