Mother’s Day looms on the 11th
May. Mother's Day dates back to Greek mythology and is now celebrated
across 46 countries (though on different dates), to honour all mothers,
the day allows a child to express gratitude and devotion for their
mother's efforts in giving them life, raising and being their constant
support and well wisher. There are some great ideas to spoil Mum below.
"A man loves his sweetheart
the most; his wife the best, but his mother the longest". Unknown
Happy Mother's Day to all
Mums.

The 11th May is the day to
bestow extra love and devotion upon your mother, living or departed,
to pay tribute to the contributions made by her. Don't forget to send
your mother her favourite flowers - mothers acknowledge that flowers
symbolise pure love.
Banalasta's
own unique 'flowers' - the eucalypt and lavender plants - are blended
in our specialised body care products - and are a sure way to have
the scent of these gorgeous essential oils help her feel uplifted and
relaxed for many hours.

Today
it is estimated that over 90% of Australia’s supply of eucalyptus is
from China – supplying specifically eucalyptus globulus. Chinese
production has increased to a point were total world demand can be
met by China and thereby control the world price.
Isn't
this alarming news, when the eucalypt is considered to be one of
Australia’s greatest native plant symbols producing one of the worlds
most popular essential oils!
There
are about 12 species of eucalytpus which occur naturally outside of
Australia but around 700 are native to Australia, and not all
eucalyptus oils are the same.
Each
species produces an oil of different chemical composition and the
constituents vary from one species to the next.
The
type Banalasta grows is Eucalyptus Radiata (Australiana) Leaf Oil,
and has a less camphorous aroma than that of other common varieties.
Our oil, and the largest eucalyptus radiata plantation in the world,
is high in cineole, a naturally occurring antimicrobial compound
famous for its formidable antiseptic, antiviral and deep transdermal
properties. Banalasta's oil is single distilled to produce the
highest concentrate of cineole as well as up to twenty times
Terpin-4ol (an active germ fighting compound). This superior
combination draws the active ingredients deeper into the layers of the
skin and helps to relieve symptoms much faster. This harmonious
balance of constituents endows the oil with a gentleness or softer
feel, making it well tolerated by the human skin and mucous
membranes. You will be sure to find a product suitable for your needs
from Banalasta's ingenious health
and skin care range.
Banalasta
oil, 100% grown, harvested and distilled in Australia, is not tested
on animals and has the added benefit of being organically certified
since May 2003.
